Zack Metcalfe is a freelance conservation and travel journalist, columnist and author covering stories across Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island for multiple publications. His writing career began with the community papers of his Ontario hometown and later led him to western PEI were he served as the sole reporter of the West Prince Graphic. After a brief tenure with Halifax’s environmental movement in 2014 he returned to journalism with his present focus on endangered species, climate change and natural history.
Metcalfe has nine works of fiction to his name, two of which were published by Toronto’s Iguana Books in the summer of 2016. When not rock climbing, hiking or undertaking his next article, he’s at his computer working on a tenth novel. He lives on Prince Edward Island, with his lovely partner Pamela Arsenault.
